Sponsored by EHDN & MDS-ES
The main objectives of the fellowship programme are to motivate and facilitate the training of young professionals (neurologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, physiotherapists, clinical geneticists or other healthcare professionals) working in HD clinical practice through sharing knowledge and experience. Fellows selected for the programme spend six weeks working in a highly regarded, multi-disciplinary HD clinic in Europe. Priority will be given to applicants who are already engaged in clinical practice in HD and have a realistic prospect of remaining active in the HD field following completion of the programme. This programme is primarily intended for applicants coming from countries/regions where HD facilities or a specific aspect of HD care is not well developed. The knowledge and expertise gained from the fellowship is intended to help improve the clinical situation for HD patients in this country/region.
Note:
Regarding the host clinic: We are advising applicants to apply for the fellowship and if successful, we will help to make contacts with a suitable clinic for the placement. Please leave the page about the host clinic blank in the application form, if not yet organised.
Placements to host clinics should take place during 2023.
The fellowship programme for 2023 is now closed for applications.
– Results are expected mid April. All applicants will be informed of the results. –
