The main objective of the fellowship programme is to motivate and facilitate the training of young professionals (neurologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, physiotherapists, clinical geneticists and other healthcare professionals) working in HD through the sharing of knowledge and experience. Fellows selected for the programme will spend six weeks working in a highly regarded, multi-disciplinary HD clinic in Europe.

Priority will be given to applicants who are already engaged in clinical practice or research in HD and have a realistic prospect of remaining active in the HD field following completion of the programme. The programme aims at improving HD care or specific aspects of HD care such as physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, multidisciplinary approach, genetic counselling, etc. and supporting research collaborations mainly from Europe.

Placements to host clinics will take place during 2024. After the evaluation process, successful applicants will be assisted by EHDN in organising initial contacts with a potential clinic.

The application process for a placement in 2024 has now closed.
Applicants will be advised of the results mid April.
